If you're interested in using Alison Courses on your PC or Mac, you may be wondering how to download the app and get started. Fortunately, there are many resources available online that can guide you through the process similar to this article.
Awful. Cumbersome. You have to stop them from popping up at the end of every three seconds. Sometimes they can be as many as 30. They also cover important page content. The navigation is horrible on these courses. The app doesn't keep track of your progress and doesn't even register the course as "complete" after you have passed the assessment. You can use the app's web-based version but don't waste your time. It's terrible.
Alison courses are my favorite. I've taken some courses from Alison and have learned some useful things. The app is not very user-friendly. It would take me to a message saying, "Due privacy settings, this course cannot be played here." It was impossible to figure out. Because of its counterintuitive nature, the app requires a lot of effort. It would be great to have courses streamlined while working.
This app is terrible. I love Alison. If you need a UX designer, I am available to help. Navigation is not working. A bottom bar should have shortcuts to "courses", "shop", etc. However, buttons aren't in English. Users should be able to select their preferred language from the settings. This will allow them to use one language for app text and navigation. The ads that never go away are also annoying. It is necessary to close and restart the app. This is a serious crash problem...
The app does not function correctly. Although the course was app-friendly, I received a message telling me that it could only be viewed online. The idea of free courses is great, especially for someone who's been away from school and would like to learn new subjects. However, this app should be fixed or replaced by a better one.
Although the app is great, it's full of bugs and ads. It is very frustrating to be able to view the remainder of my list from my course in photography on my smartphone. The ad at the bottom blocks my ability to see what else I have. The ad seems to be prioritized above all else these days, and that's just annoying.
Disappointing! Overall, the app is excellent with all of its content. The app has ads. Each second, an ad appears. As you close the first one, another pops up. Could not open any course content. It was necessary to remove the program. Only use it in browser. This is a shame, because it could be an amazing app if it worked correctly.
It is simply amazing. You can find courses, classes, and certificates that cover everything. There are no annoying ads, but it has the usual issues. It doesn't seem to be possible to delete courses that I had started, but didn't complete. This shows I have several open but not completed and it is a distraction from what I should do. However, I can see past it to learn more about the app. Overall it's a great idea. Keep it up!
This app seems to have useful information. You can't go anywhere without it, even for one second. They can be distracting or frustrating. Each click is an advertisement. We are not going to fix this ad problem. What happens 2 months later? Ok. Uninstall!
The app does not function and is confusing. Although the courses are mobile-compatible, when you attempt to view the content of the courses it states that they cannot be accessed on mobile. It is not a good idea to launch an app which defeats its purpose. Then there's the full-screen pop up ads at the bottom of your screen. It's double AAARGHH! Double AAARGHH!!
I cannot take the course on my smartphone. I can't search for courses even on my smartphone. It's useless as you cannot learn anywhere else. The ads were placed on each screen which made it difficult to see the module descriptions and course details. This needs to be improved.
Alison has so many courses that I enjoy and I'm grateful for the opportunity to take introductory courses. The app is terrible, and especially since they have an ad for every touch. This is the most frustrating experience. Everything is in squares. I can't tell if the menu or search button is it. It's time to fix the app. I won't be using it again. I found it so helpful up to today.
Although I like the idea of Alison Courses offering free online courses for everyone, it's not worth the effort if there are ads popping up every two seconds. With so many advertisements popping up, it's impossible for anyone to access the course. Although I understand that ads can be useful for income, it seems silly to bombard users with ads every second, when your app is being used by people looking to learn. Please read all the reviews and make any necessary changes if the app is to continue being used. Thanks.
Although the website and courses are great, the app for the phone is very limited. The app is full of bugs and crashes that don't explain why, does not allow access to most of the courses, and it's very unfriendly. Alison is a great learning tool, but it can only be used on your desktop computer or laptop.
Everything is easily found and accessible on the website. The app was expected to be similar, or better, because there are no tabs open on my mobile internet browser. However, it doesn't load when I try to search courses. It is not possible to expect to go through all the courses just to locate the ones you are looking for. This needs to be fixed! It was great to be able to use the app.
Although I have used the website many times, I couldn't access the course I required recently on my desktop computer. The assessment at the end didn't work even with this. Laptop and Wi-Fi work fine and are up-to date. The website offered the possibility to participate in the course. The app displays the option, but doesn't actually follow through. This app is a mess and needs a lot of work.
