Day One Journal for PC

Android premium is so simple that it seems absurd to charge $25 per annum. It would be comparable to the apple and mac software, which I think is fair. It was amazing to be able create a journal on my smartphone and then finish it later on my chromebook with a keyboard.

Since 2007, I have used the desktop application. I recently updated to be able to sync from my smartphone. The interface is a mess. Photos don't show up properly, duplicate entries are removed, duplicate entries deleted, and entries do not save correctly. It's not something I would love, it has been frustrating.

I think this recent update was a major step backwards. Attaching photos now takes an extra tap, which I find annoying. It feels too hidden. It used to be possible to drag my photos up or down, but it seems that this function has been removed. It seems that I have two options: accept the way the photos appear, or delete the images and try again. It is also frustrating that you can't add more than one picture at once. After pressing Save, I get only one picture, and the rest disappear.

The app is great, but it has been updated in May and sometimes the entries have not been saved or deleted. Pictures taken using the in-app camera cannot be recovered. We hope the bugs are fixed! It is also more difficult to change tags in multiple journals (Edit / Metadata /tags), where it used to be easy with the old UI. It's great! I use the app every day.

Although the app is fantastic, recent updates have consistently deleted long posts I had worked so hard on. After spending hours writing posts, the app deletes all of my work. It was very frustrating. I loved the app, but these changes made it difficult. If the journal features and fonts aren't compatible with your intellectual property, it is useless.

It is very difficult to use the Android tablet. There is no method to layout text or to place spacing between paragraphs. I have not found any tutorials that could help me format the Android version. There are no features. This app is great on both my iPhone and iPad. You can use it to draw, darken, record audio, or edit fonts. There are many other features not available in android. It just feels cleaner than the android version. This is something I hope will improve in the near future. There have been many crashes.

This app has been my favorite for many years. However, it began to crash everytime I tried to create a new entry. It will freeze after I type just a few words and then crash. Customer service was able to help me, but it had been months since I last heard from them. This was an amazing app, and I'm so disappointed. My android phone is working. Play Store does not seem to have version 2.3. Only version 2.2 is available in Play Store.

You can't edit journal on more than one device. It was the worst thing about having to look for this information on their site. They also did not seem to believe that the button to download an android app was worthwhile. Multiplatform editing is something I value so much that I pay very little to get it, and even less for a monthly random. It's an excellent app overall, though I didn't get to know it in the time I spent investigating it. You might give it a shot, but don't expect them to be able to trust you.

This app has been my favorite for many years. I had very few complaints, except for the fact that it was difficult to transfer my account from my iPhone to an Android. Now, I have nothing but complaints. The app that I have installed on my smartphone keeps crashin' since its last update. It crashes halfway through every sentence. I cannot write coherent thoughts without the app crashing. Every time I press "sync", nothing about sync time changes. It feels like my mind is slipping away. This is a serious problem!

This app is great for journaling. I can keep multiple journals. This reminds me about past entries from the same day. It captures the day's weather when I add a location to my posts. This is how I communicate across space and time. It's amazing. It's amazing. The app's structure makes it easy to use, but the results are very interesting. It is very simple to use. I would like the ability to change journal colors. It's a small point. It's great!

This app is amazing! The app works great and does not skip a beat. Each day I have the option to add text and photos. You have the option to re-sort the photos. If I have entered the wrong date, you can come back to change it. There are many photo options...take photo, or copy from the library. You can access your phone library to start multiple photos and then share them all with DayOne. It's the exact tool that I wanted for many years, but didn't realize it was available. It is quick to jot down key words or just one photo.

The app is great, but it has some limitations on Android. They are still working on this. Some functions do not work. If it worked, 5 stars would be given. You don't see the entries. The entries don't load when you click notifications. It seemed like the entry had been deleted. It wasn't. Scrolling through the list view is the only way to access past posts in Android. This can sometimes be frustrating.

This app finally has an Android version! Although it works well, there are some issues with the UI. For a while the map view was not working properly. Premium features offer more functionality than any other competitor on the market. Although Sync is a good service, I was disappointed when Dropbox sync was destroyed. The main problem is the fact that the premium subscription I have to Sync costs the same as for iOS users, even though it has fewer features than the iOS version. There is no timetable for when they will catch up. You can keep up the speed with iOS development, and you'll be fully satisfied.

Great app, even when it isn't being broken. Both the iOS app and Mac have a better location interface. The Android app doesn't allow you to save favorite locations. This is an obvious flaw. Sometimes it takes several attempts to modify the date of a post. Other times, if the date is changed and not the hour, then the date won't change. Or sometimes the time doesn't change at all. Sometimes things won't work or close randomly, but it's possible to recall what I did.
