Cameras often do not link. Apps will connect if they do. It's annoying to have to troubleshoot. The cameras are not found when scanning the network. Now they can't connect manually so we have to start over. This is frustrating because the cameras must come down in order to be connected via an ethernet cable. UPDATE: We can no longer get wireless connectivity. Wired works fine but set 6 (manual) and 7 (auto) don't represent any networks so we cannot include them in our network.

It is not very easy to use. It is a pain to create recordings from more than one angle. You can't pan the camera so you need a separate camera if you wish to capture more angles. It takes some time for the app to load your video feed. Let's say the app is pointed at a front entrance and someone rings it. The app will not load the video feed until they're standing still. The video feed will freeze if you attempt to pan in the opposite direction.

The app currently is inoperable. The cameras work fine, but they have only just started to connect over WiFi. This is despite the fact that they had been experiencing similar behavior for 5 months. The biggest problem is that all cameras were reset to factory settings in order to connect to the network. Without an app, they cannot create a password.

Although the app is good, sometimes I can't forward or rewind videos. The camera is $60 and made in China. I don't know what the users expect. Two cameras died after three years. One camera wouldn't connect to wifi, the other didn't record to a card.

My cameras and app worked well for many years. But suddenly, my two IP cams stopped recognizing my Wi-Fi network. The Wi-Fi function is ineffective no matter what I do. An ethernet cable was used to connect my external camera. This was an expensive investment that I didn't expect to make. Now I have to repeat the process for the internal cam. Only wired connections allow me to use these cameras. Is there a Wi-Fi option? It is not functioning anymore.

I have used it for 2 years. It works perfectly. Now with Android 8.1, it crashes and has a zoom problem. It works great when the phone is tilted. It's easy to see the recordings. The image quality is excellent. Let me also say, that I reached out to customer service after i received it. They were very helpful. They responded to my email and resolved the problem. Great team

My WiFi connection is no longer working. It will connect only via Ethernet. This is frustrating because of how my house wires.

About a year ago, push notifications stopped working. It was possible that it had been an update, or bug fix. However it has never returned regardless of my menu settings. Email is the only way to get notified, and it frequently resets or breaks its settings.

This app has been with me for many years, but I have recently lost my ability to use WIFI. It won't find networks. The ethernet cable is fine, but I don't want to be unable to connect wirelessly. I hope the developers can fix this problem as quickly as possible.

It is very difficult to be reliable. The recorded videos don't even play half the time. Evidently, the app hasn't been updated. It's difficult to find an app that allows me to see recorded video from the Dericam cameras. These cameras are not recommended for purchase.

App is slow. To delete just one SD card recording, you will need to first download the app to your device. Then for each one you'll have to choose to be deleted. It can take a while if you have many. You can delete the bulk of it without downloading. This should be limited to the video/still photos you wish to retain. It is easiest to take out the SD card, then delete 100 videos. This is tedious, slow and time-consuming.

Since I started using Dericam IP cameras over three years ago, there have been five cans that have run 24-7 without any failures. This is quite impressive in the hot Arizon summers. The cans are able to withstand the heat. Onboard motion detection is far more accurate than any software. I would love for the motion detection to notify me from the camera whenever it detects movement. So does the software app. Jim in AZ sun

I could not connect to my four cameras anymore. It worked on all three of them. The problem was that dashes in password are important. This problem can only be encountered if the camera is not connected to wifi. Better documentation Websites should offer error messages in other languages than Chinese.

My Chrome Pixel Slate tablet has a tiny screen that displays this app. My phone appears to be against the screen when I'm using vertical mode. On an iPad 11 inch tablet, I should be capable of viewing a larger video than what is displayed on my phone. The max icon is not activated.

It works well. I modified it a lot and the app worked fine. However, the app lags a bit. Not sure if this is an Android issue or a general sms glitch. It doesn't show the app screen. Would be great to have an option for changing the sound of the on-screen notification.
