HireVue for Candidates App For Windows

Interviews can be stressful when all you have to do is speak in front of a camera. Stress is added by the fact that questions must be answered in a certain time frame. In case of a mistake, you're allowed to attempt 2 questions. In my first question, I made a mistake and chose to go back for the second try. However, it cut out just before I was done. It then moved on to the 2nd question without me being able to go back. I was unable to actually use my second attempt. After I forced-stopped the app, it wouldn't allow me to upload my videos.

It is difficult to use this app via desktop and cell phones. The app doesn't know that your microphone and camera allow access to the desktop. It then claims that Chrome works, but it does not. After spending 3+ hours fiddling with the settings of my desktop, I switched to my smartphone. This is ridiculous because it looks much better on a computer. To be honest, I'm not even interested in the interview. I'm still far from being able to complete it.

Be aware that although the app claimed I had unlimited opportunities to record responses to interview questions, it only allowed me to re-record one. It was very fast and allowed only a couple of seconds for me to answer after I had read a question. It was distracting to be able see your face. There is an option to turn it off but the button resets every question, which made recording difficult and distracted. Overall, it was a terrible experience. This app is not perfect, but it could still be useful.

The app is simple and easy to use. You have two chances to answer the video question. If you make a second answer, it will automatically submit that answer. My second attempt was ruined by an uncontrollable event. It is not acceptable that the app automatically submits one of your answers per question. That's great. But if that's all it does, then what is the point?

It is amazing. The interview process was so easy because of the many resources available. After being given an opportunity to practise and to re-record my answers, I felt so at ease. You can also see yourself on video if you don't like it or are distracted by what you see, but you will be able to get there. It's amazing!

It's very easy to use and convenient. It was very easy to use and convenient. The app was downloaded to my Android phone and I completed the interview. After reading the question, I had plenty of time to reflect on my answers. I was also allowed to record my second answer again if it wasn't satisfactory. It was also possible to go through my whole answer and decide whether to make it another time. Awesome app!

It was uncomfortable, horrible, and awkward. It would be much more comfortable to look at a person face-to-face than this webcam recording and forced recording. Terrible. Another sign that this age is becoming digitally dependent, like snapchat and facetime. If this is how I interview for the job, it's not something that I want.

This app is a great idea. Over 20 interviews have I completed and many inconsistencies. This overlaps with the present interviews. This also shows that I have completed interviews even though I didn't start them. Even after contacting customer support , issues persist. It is also a horrible idea that an algorithm will decide if you are suited for a job.

This is a great tool that I have never heard of. I moved out of my home state within 30 days thanks to Corona.

Great app, great experience. It was easy to practise my responses to questions. You had the option of recording your answer if you didn't like the way it was recorded. Thank you so much for the positive experience. Another note: At the end of my experience, it said that O had completed 6 out of 6 questions. My responses were also uploaded. It said that 5 out of 6 answers were uploaded. It should have instructed me to fill in the missing response and then upload it.

positive experience. There is an option to turn off your live video feed. Mine didn't work, and it interupted my speech rhythm a few times. If you are doing this from a tablet or phone, do not disturb the other person and be aware of the biggest demon. "auto correct".

Interview screen went off after 5 seconds. There was no option to speak on the phone. Was horrible experience. It's likely that you won't be hired. The line was cut during an interview. I had to reconnect several times, even during customer play scenarios. Fix the problem.

Bad experience. I couldn't hear the interviewer, even though I tried to use mic phone.

So I guess that I will not get the job for which I applied. The video interview is impossible for me. I get frustrated by the whole process, including not speaking to someone real. My anxiety sky rockets. I hate it.

Several bugs must be corrected. The first was that the pre-timer did not count down. It never opened the tab to allow me to record my answers. It was difficult to know if I had my responses recorded. There is a lot to improve on. It should be easier for job-applicants.
