iVMS-4500 for PC

My rating has been reduced because we're approaching 3 years. There are still issues and no responses from Hikvision. Review: I used to like this app. But it is slowly falling behind. The alarms on Android have not worked for over a year but they work perfectly on iPhone. There hasn't been an upgrade in more than two years. Is there something wrong?

It worked well up until the most recent version. App developer. I sent the full stack trace to support information email. They refused to assist me as I purchased the DVR from Amazon. The problem occurred between their application and their server and was not related to the DVR. Instead of providing a great customer experience, it was a complete failure.

It runs in the background, with a notification and access to your phone's camera. This app was used to keep an eye on my dog while he is in a boarding facility. The UI is confusing and the image resizes occasionally to make it appear wider. It was easy to add the camera specified. Although I was forced to disable these permissions for some users, it seems that many others won't allow me to do this.

For the cameras, I prefer a reliable application. For two-way communication, I was told by the company that this app would be necessary. This app is useless. To speak, I should just tap on the microphone icon. It's always unresponsive and shaded. And, 99 percent of the times I try to open the app, the message says "connection failed". Useless!

Let's begin at the top. To boost their user ratings, the makers of this app use false reviews. You will need to give them access to the camera storage, contact information, and device history. The app is open in background. It also allows access to both your front and back cameras, as well as your microphone. Uninstalling this app will stop it from running. Google has received this information from me. You can uninstall the program and then do the exact same.

App worked great until it stopped working. I have made multiple phone calls to the contractor who has decided to charge $150 an hour for the repair. It doesn't sound like a scam. Update: The contractor came back and fixed the problem AGAIN. It worked great for 3 months and I am now waiting to have it fixed again. It's a shame that I paid several thousand dollars for this system. It's a complete pain!

This version is complete garbage, and it's worse than the old one, although that has its problems. This new version has been installed on my phone, and it has a tendency to just buffer. It has worked a few times, but I cannot count them all. Version 3.1.1 is on an older phone, and it works almost all the time. Hikvision is not suitable for its intended purpose.

I was forced to install this app. It doesn't start up, but it sticks. It was great. Although it worked perfectly, this app is really annoying. Fix it or revert. Update: It's been over a year since the last update and it is still terrible. It has taken me over an hour trying to view my video feed, but it is still not working. They created this forced version. Older versions were fantastic. The software has a bug that causes the recaptcha process to take forever in all newer versions. Enter the code, it will tell you that the code is incorrect (but it is not), and it will give you another code. The cycle continues endlessly. The customer service was terrible and it is impossible to view your cameras remotely. This software is not available remotely. It has been a year since I lost faith in it. Multibrands work, but only HK Vision does not work.

I advise against using their cctv. It won't open, it doesn't work, it's not easy to use, it's difficult to understand, it's hard to find instructions, it's outdated, it's confusing, it's slow, it's impossible for me see buttons that allow me speed up playbacks, which is why you shouldn't be able watch one hour long playbacks.

The camera suddenly stopped communicating with the internet. A review on this site showed that the camera would reconnect if it was disabled and connected to 4G. If you disable wifi, then view one camera, the connection to all others will be lost. This was a selling point for the app! This used to be a great app. It seems that it was not updated in a while so maybe the issue is with Hikvision's server. ).

The app does exactly what it claims, it displays the cameras from DVR. After a while, however, the camera's display stops. It may have a cache or memory problem. To see the entire list of cameras, restart the app. It doesn't allow shared devices between hikconnect clouds or different logins to cloud accounts. This could make it very inefficient. Overall, it's a great app.

The app is not user-friendly. Connecting to multiple cameras can be a tedious task. Two sets of cameras are in my home. One is at work. The other one is abroad. The cameras in another country disconnect every time I launch the app. The same happens to my father's smartphone. It's hard enough to connect, so I don't have the time or ability to set it up each time I use the app. This would be a huge help.

It is complete rubbish. This was fine until last week. Now I can't see any other apps. It would not connect so I removed it and installed it again. The connection fails keeps popping up. It was 4.7.3, the best, and that was what I had before. However, it seems like it updated something. Now it doesn't work and there is no way to see any of it. This is so annoying! It is complete rubbish.
