LaView Connect App For Windows

This app has been my favorite for many years. While I would like it to be more useful, I've found it works well for me. The problem I am having is with my new tablet. I can watch live cams from the table, and it keeps crashing. I need to push the play button to continue it live. It was my intention to seek out other people with this problem, but laview doesn't seem to be trying to help. :(

Barebones app has terrible interface. When the video is stopped, I cannot zoom in. Why? It also fails frequently, so you need to click the refresh button to make it work again. Why not just use the auto-retry feature instead? However, it's great when it works.

It is a terrible application. It keeps setting itself up on the doorbell, so I have to constantly go back and adjust the motion detection and the sensitivity. To view the camera, I have to force-close the app every time it does not load. When the doorbell rings, the audio/video chat does not go off. Instead it pops up a message indicating that it was cancelled.

Needs dewarping image for doorbell. Instead of the app closing and popping up, I would like Ring to notify me to either accept or decline the call. Direct connection to the doorbell (port forward) is required. It is currently 50/50 with the Halo One doorbell. Great hardware but terrible software. Laview could unify all of their apps with combined functionality.

It is hands down the worst piece of hardware and software I have ever had to work with. The app can't friggen connect the network to setup, and crashes when I try to. I will return this POS product to get a new one. NOT WORTH THE TIME

Motion detection and notification do not work anymore. It doesn't matter what you do to set detection points. Instead, it creates random ones. It doesn't work even at the highest level of detection. It still doesn't work after enabling all permissions.

Camera worked perfectly before firmware update 3/6/19. The resolution of the camera was completely degraded and certain features, such as multi-window view, sound, etc. were removed. The camera's resolution has been degraded completely and some features (e.g., multi-window view, audio etc.) have been disabled. Their support was helpful and suggested that the camera be reset. The camera still performs poorly even after multiple resets. Support did not respond to multiple emails. Poor customer service, poor resolution of camera issues. This company should be avoided at all cost.

Notifications stopped working after the latest update, as others have mentioned. Laview Support says the reason lies in a recent Google policy change. I don't have the exact policies. It is not known when the problem will be resolved. The unit will not be functional until then, as it does not send alarms for motion and bell rings.

Version 3.7.1.0221 appears to have removed the notification to the phone for the doorbell ringing. When the recorded video is viewed in fullscreen, it becomes blurred. The doorbell camera's usefulness is now almost nonexistent.

On pixel 3XL, the app logs me out constantly. Because of this, I have not received notifications from the app. It was not possible to swipe away notifications that were sent when it worked. This app requires a lot of work.

You can view cameras, but you cannot record. When I click on playback, select the dates, it stops loading at either 80%, 86% or 94%. It rarely loads. Not sure why. This app is completely useless. I can only playback to NVR directly.

All the reviews are correct. Last month's March update did more harm than good. It appears that there were more bugs installed than they were fixed. Does Quality Control not test updates before they are pushed? You must get developers and quality team ....to work hard if you want to be competitive with RING. I am currently feeling like I have wasted money and could have gone for RING.

Avoid buying. Avoid buying at any cost. Everybody should return their money. It is by far the worst product I've ever used. It doesn't work and customer support is terrible. It is completely useless, and even deceptive. It took me MONTHS of trying to get it to work, the doorbell to work, the camera to upload to the app and so on. It doesn't work. No support. It is nearly impossible to use the app. How is it possible that this company is in business... Get the app working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

Since 03/06/19, I have stopped receiving updates from my phone when motion detection has been triggered. The phone no longer records motion detection. It only captures screenshots when motion is detected. It worked great up until the update.

It was updated. I can't see my online cameras now. Even though my cameras are connected online, it won't connect. The message keeps repeating "Unable to Connect!" I can't see any thing now that i am on a trip!
