Messenger Lite: Free Calls & Messages App For Windows

This app recently replaced photos with text bubbles that list a file name. It is impossible to see any photos that I have already sent, or those sent by others. The problem persists despite me having updated the app just a few days before. This is because I use the app to sell artwork and advertise side jobs. It makes it very hard to use. You are welcome to suggest. Thank you

I like this app, but when you share everything it is easy to get hacked. It's frustrating when messages are not removed or unsent. It is difficult to share. This app redirects me to another webpage when I get anything that needs to be opened. It also attempts to open Facebook for Android, which I do not use. The copy-and-paste method is another problem. It's more difficult to use Facebook or messenger when they update.

Messenger Lite is my preferred choice because it saves space. It's an excellent app. However, the problem is that I can't see my photos when I send them. The only thing I see is the text that I can click on to download it. This issue is specific to my tablet. None of my smartphones does this and all other users can view the images just fine.

This was an excellent, lightweight version of the original messenger app. I have not received any notifications regarding messages in the past year. There are many ways that you can fix this problem, but none of them work. The app was limited in features and non-functional when it came down to functioning. Uninstalled.

Features, not resources. Any link sent by someone opens via a Facebook tracking URL before it goes to the actual link. Since I blocked my Facebook domain during the day I cannot open other links that people have sent me. Facebook records everything you do even though it isn't directly related to them. You can't simply copy and paste the link from the thumbnail provided by the Facebook link.

It's better than full Messenger but lacks a lot, so it is not the best alternative. Although they said they needed to reduce it because it's "Lite", I feel they took too much. You can't tag your friends in group chats and pictures won't automatically load. They don't have all the features you need sometimes. Bluetooth is not supported by phone calls. Pictures won't start loading after some time, and eventually, all profile images will be empty. Quite disappointed by all Facebook apps.

Useful. It doesn't include too many features, like Facebook Messenger. It is lightweight and fast. Videos are very smooth, and the messages you send out go well. It saves space and data. One complaint. It's not really that important, but it irritates me. It doesn't show if a friend or you change their profile photo. Kinda irritating. It's especially irritating when you have it.

The app works well. It has its flaws. It is not possible to record voice messages for longer than five seconds. I would love it if it could be extended to 30 seconds. The app is slow to upload and download photos. Uploading and downloading photos takes so long. This app would be great if the problem could be fixed. We are very grateful.

It works well. The app works well for the basic needs and can be used to save data or memories. It's not the same thing as functional and basic. The options are not what I'm used to or too familiar with. The videos won't save. Many stickers are not available and difficult to locate in the search. These extras are not worth the data and space required to enjoy the app's full capabilities, or at least in this instance.

Sending videos is still a challenge. It will not send a video that is longer than 90 seconds. If it doesn't display an error, then the loading spinner will continue for several minutes. This is your signal that the video won’t send. It's impossible to recover the video that hasn't been sent. This behavior can be tolerated if the app does not send videos for more than 90 seconds. Update: It's now not sending any videos! Version latest.

This is what I do to reduce the size of the main application. Recently, however, it appears that photos in messages no longer appear. Instead, they only show a file name. It asks for you to confirm that it has been downloaded. My friends who use the messenger app are also affected by this problem. It's a pain not being able see the reactions. If I could, I would love to completely remove Facebook from my life.

It was initially good. You can't send video or short clips. It doesn't always show a photo option so I'm unable to send them photos. Notifications don't work. It now shows me 18 notifications. I have no. My other account shows 5 messages, but i only have 1. It's time to look for a different app.. I don't recommend it.

It's been my preferred online messaging service for many years. It's great for convos from outside of the country. It's very small, and it can perform the basic functions (calling, texting and video calling), which is fantastic. Video calling can be a nightmare, especially when you are trying to reach rural areas of the Philippines. All international calls are dropped to me. The previews used to be available for me to download photos, but it is now just a filename. It keeps on "preparing to download" every time i save it. :(((

The good news is that it saves a lot of space and memory. It has the following issues: I cannot delete any messages or open videos or gifs. I can't even open FB messenger. This is a compromise. It's okay to use if you have only 8GB of storage.

This app is great! It works well for me and has very few issues (except when Facebook itself was having problems). It is possible to change the notification sound for everyone who complained about it. Click the cogwheel at the upper right corner of the app. Next, click notification and sounds. Finally, hit manage notifications. Hit the sound section to select from the many sound options on your smartphone. Twinkle is my name, and it sounds very much like old messenger notification.
