Mevo - The Live Event Camera App For Windows

It was a complete disappointment. It was a disappointment! Everything seemed fine at first. After that, however, everything seemed fine. It was embarrassing and expensive!

The app appears to have improved since the last update (it was still crashing). The graphic overlay layout is not available when the app goes "live". It does not offer a lower third banner or a left/right above the shoulder option. Instead, it displays a full-screen graphic overlay. Although I can do a left-over the shoulder counter, it is only possible if I begin it prior to it going "live". Also, it would be great to have the option to update your app using the "update button" instead of uninstalling/reinstalling each time you update.

Although it's wonderful when it works, the most recent updates cause live streaming to be unpredictable and sometimes not work at all. I think it is only 40% of the time. UPDATE: My review has been downgraded to one star. The connection is constantly lost. It has lost connection every time I stream live. Additionally, the premium plan is what I'm paying.

Over 12+ months, the app connects seamlessly every time. The app does what it's supposed to. The app is powerful and easy to use. It's constantly evolving. It is easy to use. It is small and very noisy. High light levels may help. The camera should be extremely close and ideally close to the platform. A narrow FOV lens with a low f/# is essential! !

This app is great for its purpose and very useful. It may not be compatible with Android and iOS, which is a problem. Many features are not available for Android that were listed in the Mevo manual. The android app should be updated to allow at least as many options as the iOS app. It's as easy as changing a title directly from the "Go Live" screen.

The old version was great but the new Mevo 2.0 version is terrible! It crashed 15 times in a live broadcast! WTH!!! This was LIVE! It was LIVE! Keep fixing the problem until it's fixed. You will be very disappointed.

It is very unreliable. Mevo's idea is great for those with low budgets. Unfortunately, the execution is a mess. Stream dropping is the biggest problem I have encountered. After being able to stream live on YouTube 5+ times without any problems, suddenly YouTube stopped allowing us to stream. I recommend spending more on fancy cameras and using OBS.

After a few updates, the app stopped streaming video to my phone and it is now stuttering or freezing continuously. After contacting support for almost nothing, they finally resolved my issue after 10 days. They also suggested that I "try turning it off and on again." Mevo products are not worth my money. Their software is faulty and their support team is a joke.

It was very slow. Very difficult to get connected (and keep it going). I would also disconnect when the internet quality drops a little.

The app worked fine until the latest updates. I tried it again on my smartphone and it crashed every time. Although this app is promising, it still acts like a beta. 10/14/2021 Update - I have changed my star rating from 1 to 3. This is because the 2 previous updates work fine. Also, the disconnect/crash problem that caused all the updates to behave like betas has been fixed. 3/2/2022 Update: This update was terrible. I will be waiting for the next one.

It has been a lot easier to connect since the last update. UPDATE: The mevoplus won't update, no matter how many times I tried. Also the mevohelp page was useless. They decided to make everyone buy the starter camera, so my $300.00 plus camera can only be used to throw at dogs at night.

Mevo's original creators, congratulations Logitech for buying Mevo so it can become an absolutely amazing piece of TRASH! It is very difficult to connect anymore. Very unreliable. It has had problems connecting to Facebook streaming service for many years. This app's maintainer must be fired.

Live streaming is possible without the use of a computer. Although some controls are a bit difficult to use on small touchscreens, this is not a problem with the app. One issue is the slow loading of overlays from PDF. Uploading 20 slides/MB PDF from my smartphone to the Mevo usually takes 5 minutes. The network doesn't appear to limit it, so I don't know why this takes so much time, but every single time, it does. If there is anything that I can do, it would be great to know!

The app crashes and freezes since Mevo 2.0. My old Galaxy Tab E (Android 7), used to be great, but it has stopped working. It crashes every time I try 2.0 with an iPad Mini 2. Next, I purchased a 2019 Galaxy Tab A 8 with Android 9) but it crashed and was glitchy. It will work on my Pixel 2 XL, but it is frustrating that it doesn't work with a tablet. While it works well on the devices, you will need to restart the device if autopilot is used or face track is enabled. Although the stream did not get interrupted during these tests, I still had to restart several times to reconnect. Although I love my Mevo Plus cameras, this software mess is frustrating. Please update the LIST OF SUPPORTED DEVICES. This will reflect actual functionality and full capabilities.

It worked great up until Logitech purchased them and modified the app. The first problem with the app is that it won't close. It removes buttons or guestures, so you cannot exit. To close the app, you will need to restart your phone. The second problem is that the USB camera doesn't show up on the computer. It was wonderful to be able to hear the entire room when it was used for zoom meetings and boardroom. The microphone is gone and the one in notebook picks up only those who are next to it.
