If you're interested in using NBC Sports on your PC or Mac, you may be wondering how to download the app and get started. Fortunately, there are many resources available online that can guide you through the process similar to this article.

NBC Sports App For Windows

The app will freeze during live gaming and won't allow you to restart the stream. The worst part? When you try to restart the stream by pressing back, you are forced to watch an advertisement. It's still live TV, and it has a paid subscription. It's a terrible thing to be forced to watch ads and reload stream streams to correct an issue.

You won't be able to touch FF and RW as you have to see 2-3 minutes of commercials every single time! Even though 3 hour Olympic marathons sessions do not have guide points for FF, you will have to figure out the beginning of each section. You should also pray that your app doesn't suddenly reset, otherwise you will have to do it again. The app won't keep track of replays so make sure to take notes.

The app is slow, and will repeatedly sign me out of my TV provider. This forces me to log in again each week to view content. When content is available on my phone, usually EPL soccer, I only get about a minute before it cuts off 70% of the screen. It zooms in at the top right corner making it virtually impossible to view any stream. This problem has been present for more than a year with no change from developers

To watch the Olympics, I downloaded an app. It was set up, but they told me that I would only be able to watch 30 minutes before having to purchase a subscription. I started the 30-minutes, but the ads kept coming up every 5-10 minutes. About 7 minutes of downhill ski (figure skating) was what I saw. For the remainder of my time, the screen switches to "broadcast resume shortly" pages. B.S.

One year later, update: This app is still so bad. The app is cluttered with ads and the content sometimes doesn't load at all. Next Review: This app is so clunky. It is an essential app that allows you to watch the Olympics. However, it can be difficult to use.

This app and its service have had virtually no issues with Chromecast since a January 2022 update. Perfect timing for the Olympics. It is almost my only choice to use with Chromecast. Like many other apps, it was a bit iffy at first. However, ads started playing in the live broadcasts about a day ago, which made me change my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars. Relaying videos is even worse. Ads interrupt every one minute, a bug most likely. The video also doesn't go back to the beginning. Sometimes, you can't even scrub.

This app is primarily used for Olympic coverage, as NBC holds it tightly. This app is absolutely terrible. It's more entertaining to watch advertisements than it is to see live broadcasts. Advertising has led me to miss athletes from America many times. This is unbelievable .... you can't start to watch coverage until at least seven ads have been viewed. Once you're done with the coverage, you will be sent back to view more ads.

It is the most infuriating app available on Google Play. It works sometimes, but it can't always. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. For example, today I am able to watch Golf Channel but not live soccer. A black screen appears with the logo of my carrier, "LIVE" and an exclamation mark in a triangle. I don't know what that means. We don't know. It does not do anything. It will return to the main menu, but it is just a blank screen. Galaxy Note 9 Android 8.1 with all the latest updates. There are no issues with streaming apps. It's pure garbage.

The NBC app is terrible, but it's not the horrible ad mechanics. As an example, I am watching a replay of a sporting event. The ads start the game. It hasn't begun so I try to fast-forward but the ads prevent me from doing this. After moving several minutes forward, I have to wait until the ads come back to play. It hasn't even started, guess what? The ads appear again so I quickly forward. It's ridiculous. It's overkill. This says a lot about your company.

Please read the APP DEVS. After 3 month of use, I am uninstalling it all. It is used to stream NBA (Sacramento Kings) games. Ads can be seen in several games. It is reminiscent of pop-up ads. The Kings brought up the ball during a tie-up game that was less than a minute remaining. It was exciting and tense. And then BOOM! 1 minute of commercials. The entire sequence was lost to me. It has happened multiple times. I'm done. This is it.

The merger of Gold and regular apps has been a complete disaster. It will only open 1/10 times and it will stay open, making the UI almost impossible to understand. The only reliable thing about it is its ability to freeze and shut down. NBC still makes a profit from their ad revenues. The full-size Discover ad runs flawlessly until it freezes. It's true that I will take whatever is free. But this steaming heap actually costs me money.

You can't make an app which requires you to reload each time you answer a message. If you lose your focus, the video stops playing and the app switches back to it gives an error. You can reload the app, and then you will be fine. However, you must watch the 30-second advertisement. Again. This means that you cannot switch between apps while simultaneously using the app unless your ready to see the Mercedes advertisement for the fourth time. There is no reason to stop playing in the background.

Update (1*- I would give less if possible): I hate it the more I use it. It is slow, cumbersome, and difficult to navigate to the next story. It is almost impossible to stop using the app, even though I use it several times a day. Original (2*). The app can be slow when you scroll between Sports Talk articles. It is less user-friendly than the other two apps. The app also shows very few Articles, and crashes when it does. This app is very poor.

The app works well when it does. Their updates always seem to break something, although I've gotten used to uninstalling/reinstalling which sometimes works. Major complaints: 1) Randomly asking for login/provider/location information. That is an integral part of their contracts. However, the price I paid to view the matches of the Rugby World Cup was more than $200. Why would I need to pay for a TV provider when I have the rights? They redirect you to a sketchy website that never works. However, restarting the app does not skip the next check or get the information and it never returns. This is a huge problem because, unlike other streaming apps, there is a very small window in which to watch the game. There is also no option to "watch the beginning" or "join live". In other words, I cannot join before the match starts to avoid having to jump through 5 hoops. I also can't view the start of the stream if I wait for it to begin. You can view replays starting at the beginning but it takes a bit to reach there. Although this is not a major issue, the replays are quite fast and do an excellent job. You can't see the entire tournament from beginning to end, so I have to wait for round 1 and then switch over to the next round. After round 1, I must wait to watch it. The replay is available online, and then I cannot go back to the start of round 2. It's a cycle that I keep repeating, which means that I am always behind. 4) They still use Flash. Flash is not supported by almost anything anymore, despite all the Flash bashing. Although most phones have Flash enabled, desktops and internet browsers do not. It is also disabled by default on web browsers, so it's a poor idea to train people how to enable it. Out of six laptops, a desktop, and several phones in my home, only 2 support the service that I pay for. They hide the error in a player so that it doesn't look like it's doing anything. My son doesn't like watching sporting events on his phone, or even on his laptop. It's great they support Chromecast, so that we can watch the game right on our TV screens. Other than that. . . 5) Refer to the above point about random updates breaking things. This app was last updated March 26. The TV can no longer be Chromecast on March 26. My phone can see the video, so it is possible to view the video. I only get an intro image that shows the start of the broadcast with teams playing. But no video. It seems that all three Chromecasts I tried it on updated the same day. However, there are no problems with NBC Sports. 6) The Chromecast doesn't track where you are during a match. It can be frustrating to see a tournament that lasts for three hours broken down into blocks. We get up, wake up, and watch some. Then we go to play/coach/ref a few games. When we return, we fiddle with our sliders, usually we see at least one of the matches we missed. We are responsible for any interruptions. The stream will restart from the beginning if it dies randomly. It takes me a while to remember the start time of the stream. I also know how many times the stream has been playing and where the slider should be dropped. Surprisingly, ads continue to play even after this occurs. I paid for rugby and also had to pay a lot more to access the World Cup games. Not freeloading or trying to skip the ads. Despite all that, at least they bought the rights. They look fantastic once you can get over the technical issues and the streaming works. They also show women's games.

Casting to television causes the app to crash all of the time. The worst thing is the fact that the app doesn't crash but plays an advertisement and says you will get coverage again shortly. It never happens. It's not missing anything. Close the app, then re-open it. You will then be forced to view another advertisement before streaming resumes. This means that you miss approximately two minutes out of 10 of the game's duration. This is what I experienced on 2 different smartphones.
