Orbot: Proxy with Tor App For Windows

This is a great way to secure your internet connection when you are on WiFi. It was a horrible idea to have my browsing history hacked. It works flawlessly if you allow bridging. Although it does slow down the data flow and connection speed, it has not caused any problems with loading the pages. The settings/control options available are quite basic, so it would be a good idea to hire an entry-level tech. It performs well otherwise.

It all depends on how fast the internet and phone processor are processing data. Since the moment I bought a phone that was reliable and fast, I have never experienced any issues. It is important to delete your phone after you're done using it. This includes any files that were downloaded during use. If you are familiar with the basics, it can be a wonderful experience. Many people don't know how to use the settings. This is a great idea. It doesn't have to be an app from a third-party. It's a great orbot! !

Problems persist. Sometimes the device fails to turn on and then gets stuck. To get the device working properly, it will usually need a force stotlp or restart. The same goes when you want to shut it off. It crashes when it fails to shut down properly. Sometimes it requires running a force quit to make it stop in VPN mode. This has been an ongoing issue since the September update.

Orbot was a wonderful free VPN. However, it now either stops working completely or doesn't start. I tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling. I also tried clearing the cache multiple times. It doesn't seem to work. It is a horrible thing to do, but it has been done. It will be back in a couple of months. Perhaps the bugs can be fixed by then.

It will go dormant within a matter of minutes after it is started. Do you have an older version? The app will start but it won't run after you close it. App developers constantly tweak their apps. We can do enough. You can have functioning apps. Once it is done, you will need to uninstall it and then reinstall. It works great if used once. However, it can be a bit annoying if you need to use it again. The developers need to make amends.

This is a great idea. Set'n'forget Tor. It's great. But it wouldn't be as good if the app didn’t need to delete my data/cache each time I want to reconnect to Tor. The app gets stuck at "Starting ..."" every time it tries to restart after I have stopped it, or when the boot is complete. This will be my 5th star rating if you fix it.

This app is my favorite because it allows me to access any content I want. It is a great app but there are some issues that can affect your experience. 1. Slow connection speed - It is normal for the app to take some time to get connected at times. 2. Random disconnects: Sometimes, I may be disconnected from the app, cutting my connection to blocked apps. This app, despite these shortcomings is flawless. :)

It works great when it does. It works fine the first time it starts after installation, so long as its running. It hangs on the "starting screen" when the signal drops or stops. Reinstalling is the only way to get it working again. I've tried to force stop and restart the phone but no luck. I have also attempted to change identities and server.

It deserves to be rated 5-stars after the latest updates, which allow you to add and request bridges with no headaches. It does have a few quirks. For example, you cannot scroll through the "Paste Bridges” box in "Use Custom Bridges" if virtual keyboard is visible, and it takes time to switch "Use Bridges off" to see all options.

The new version is not as performant as the old version. It has taken me many times and different methods to make it work. It takes too much time to bootstrap and 100% always shows that "Orbot is Starting". There are many bugs that need to be fixed. The new version was removed and I reinstalled it. It works perfectly.

Although this app can bypass firewalls, it requires lots of redownloading every time you shut it down. Apart from this obvious flaw, you can bypass firewalls easily by activating "share proxy interface for WiFi peers" to connect the device with your hotspot. It's a great product, but could use some improvements.

It was very disappointing. It hangs up, or refuses to connect once it is back within range. Sometimes it disconnects without apparent cause, and hangs on "starting". I now find that I have to go through many captchas to access pages I never had to worry about before. All of these situations force me to uninstall/reinstall the product to correct. It was a disappointing product.

Even after the update Orbot is still randomly closing itself down. The only notification I receive is that Orbot can't connect with multiple apps. Even though VPN has been turned off, the program is still running behind-the scenes. Some websites are unable to connect because of the key icon in the notification bar.

This is a great way to protect your browsing. It works well with OrFox or other privacy-oriented browsers, when they are working. The key browsers have stopped working as of 9/3/19. Privacy still needs some work.

It is extremely slow. Even though it doesn't seem to be starting, I still can see data being transmitted through my phone and logging data usage. This is only to route traffic through your device for network use. You are not responsible for any traffic passing through your device as part of these networks. You are responsible for any illegal data you possess. The app does not keep any data sent through it. You have no access to the data that is sent through your device.
