Smartwares View App For Windows

Although it took many attempts, the app was finally set up. Although the settings are clearly explained, they are somewhat different from those in the guide. You may have to modify other settings in the app to be able receive notifications while the phone is asleep. It is very easy to use once it works properly.

The app is quite average when it comes to setting up and recording triggering sounds. It will be activated by the sun shining on it or the moon going behind them. You don't have to mind spurious events. You can't change the recording duration of one minute. A selectable length up to a minute is better. You can also affect the time it takes to download events.

The camera's problems after 2 years in the UK are: I was able to detect multiple false movements and switched them off. It is also difficult to get hold of a person, particularly when you live far away. There is no way to see the playbacks you wish to view. You have to first guess the time, date, then choose from an unidentifiable long list. It doesn't function as advertised. Although the technical support team in UK is excellent, they are unable to help with this product.

The app almost works. You get a bing about 10 seconds after you press the bell. However, the app won't launch manually. Update. Although it works much better when connected to an upgraded broadband internet connection, the settings are still confusing and unintuitive. It also detects hypersensitive motions. It's not something I would recommend to anyone. You can also remove the camera with no tools

It appears that the app installed with Background task unclear set to false. It is difficult to use and features that have not been tested are not obvious. This app is probably a port of ios. Edit. This app no longer works with the bell after upgrading to Android 10. Do not buy the hardware and app. This is a complete waste of your money. It is so unimpressed, I will source another product. This is a complete waste of money and time.

It would be more useful if the schedule notification was available for each detection area. It could be included in the next update. You could disable notifications but still get the doorbell ringing. It's not a useful doorbell without notification.

The setup and installation instructions can be confusing. If you don't have the technical skills, you may struggle. Although the build quality and reproduction are excellent, the slow speed at which the camera receives notifications is a problem. It is essential that the camera be wired via Ethernet to a router in order to reach its maximum potential.

Poor app. I returned my DIC23112UK phonebell to get a refund. For this to work on Samsung S7/S9, I had to turn off battery optimization (doesn’t let you know otherwise). The app doesn't function logically. You get a call from the phone when it rings. When answering, you must unlock the phone, then turn on the microphone. Sometimes, the sound and video don't work. Before installing, test thoroughly!

There is a huge delay between the bell ringing and your phone being notified. Initial thought was that this could be a problem with wifi so I LAN connected it. The problem is still there, but by the time the phone rings, the person who answered the door will have left. Horrible app interface. Randomly, it has stopped saving videos to my Google Drive. It was one of the main reasons that I purchased it. Fails on every front. This is shocking.

It is an excellent Bell system. My WiFi connection was not working for me. I called Byron and was very impressed with their service. It would be helpful if there was a place to locate the reset button, rather than being in the back. The instructions for wiring the unit are quite intricate. They recommend that you connect it and then test it before installing. Because of the small size of the wiring, this is difficult. . Because I installed it, I needed to take it off again in order to reach the back button.

July 20,21, still one of the worst units on the market. Poor connectivity, sound quality, and a third-rate camera. Smartwares informed me that email snap shots have been discontinued. I advise you to not purchase this unit. There are better options available that will do the same and also include email snap photos. This is a shame because it used to be very useful, but it has now become worthless.

Although it's not the most user-friendly app and is a bit clunky, it does everything you would expect of a video doorbell. Personaly, I would like to have more control over the night camera settings. It also sends me constant movement updates, despite motion masking and the sensitivity being set at the lowest level.

After using the app it was awful, I returned the DIC-24122UK.

Update: Now working with Android 10. The app won't connect to my Google Pixel 2 XL. I tried everything: battery optimization, no disturb restriction etc. Even done hard reset. This is a shame, as it worked fine on both my Hauwei 8 and iOS phones. It is not yet optimized for Android 9. Google Support confirmed that it is a security problem between the phone and app. This will hopefully be fixed by the developers soon.

Smartwares View can be connected to my light and security camera, CIP-39901. The Smartwares View works with my CIP-39901 Security camera and light. It gives good pictures. The app triggers when there is movement, and it signals when there's movement. Smartwares stated that the flaw of the app is its inability to automatically transfer recordings to Google Drive to allow viewing later.
