If you're interested in using Synology Chat on your PC or Mac, you may be wondering how to download the app and get started. Fortunately, there are many resources available online that can guide you through the process similar to this article.

Synology Chat App For Windows

Update app. Use offline via a local network with multiple access points. The app works great, however push notifications are now available on all 30 of your devices. Mix of different brands, Android and iOS. After going through all settings and options, 0 devices worked. There is no internet connection at our location, only a wide wifi network and synology NAS for entertainment and communication. Although messages are received, there is no notification.

I was very pleased with Synology's hosted Slack solution. The only thing that gripes me at the moment is the absence of a dark mode. The chat window in the Chat Window is bright, regardless of what theme you choose. It may be necessary to open Xiaomi's app in order for it to detect new messages. This is despite having battery optimization turned off. Autostart was enabled, which may have fixed the problem.

It's a great app and a wonderful way to create individualized chat apps for my family. But I do have a Chinese Asus Rog Phone 3 tencent edition. The phone runs global software, but it never gets notified. It doesn't have an issue with other phones.

It works well, but it has many bugs. 1. Sometimes it doesn't load the notifications, or may take a long time to do so. 2. The app doesn't always load messages or allow you to reply. 3. clicking on the notification takes you to the app, but it doesn't load any messages. Photos don't upload correctly, upload box remains on 100%, and the app must be re-loaded. 5. No custom notifications. These notifications, with the exception of 5, don't appear on the desktop client. Tested using ip and quickconnect

After a while (20 times a day), I get the error "Syncology Chat not Installed/Enabled" and need to log back in. I tried to install the app from dsm, but it didn't work.

After the latest update, notifications stopped working on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 (2019). The screen used to display a notification at the top and countdowns. Both are now gone. messages are still coming in, but it is slower.

The app works well and the layout is clear. It works well if your internet connection has more than 20 Mbps up/down and a static IP. Although I am using chat for friends and family, I do have business-class fiber internet. Even the most inept of our group have been able to pick it up so far. The biggest problem is that the Mobile Apps (Android, iOS) show 24-hour format. Although I've set the server to 12 hours and the personal profile to 24-hours, the mobile app shows 24 hour for all. You can't add new backgrounds or custom stickers. It's not a problem, but it is frustrating. I plan to continue using it, and will revisit my review following an update.

The latest versions of the software have an annoying chat bubble function that, no matter what you do to stop it from bubbling a chat every day, it does. It is still not possible to log in to multiple Synology chat servers at once. Application is getting worse not better.

Excellent app. I would give it 5 stars, but there are two additional features that could be added. 1. The ability to quote an earlier message. 2. To have dark mode so that my eyes are not in pain at night.

There are some issues with parsing markdown. Sometimes the messages displayed in the web version are different to those on the app. I would love to see the app's markdown parsing improved. This would be a great help to my bot.

This app is amazing. Recently had a baby and was able to set up family members accounts. They can either load it on their phones or on the web. I also have full synology settings so they can chat with me and receive high quality photos and videos. It is something I would like to see on all apps, or the phone at the very least. The chats are all white, which makes it a little too bright. It's a great app. It's a great app!

It works flawlessly after the most recent update. Mobile notifications are not working because the Windows client isn't going to sleep.

Although it does its job, notification is not available on Mate10 or P30. Notifs can be turned on in app, channel, for all msgs and with permissions. It can't work without notification.

This app is great. My class uses it for chat at work. However, it disconnects every time I log in. It's a great app. I just hope that it gets better.

This could be helpfull when you want to keep your private chats (family, for us) private. However, this is not practical at the moment as there are no notifications and so we must resort to more intrusive services.
