TextNow: Free Texting & Calling App App For Windows

This program has been in my life for over three years. Slowly, the user interface has been declining. The ads can be so disruptive that it actually interferes with the ability to read what you're typing and the program usability. This is probably a design flaw that will make you tap or swipe ads to relieve frustration. I'm on the brink of uninstalling. Only thing holding me back is my need to use wifi messaging in rural locations. This is getting too much that I'm reconsidering my need for wifi messaging in rural areas.

This has never happened to me. It doesn't work. If you don't try it repeatedly, it won't connect to your phone. It will drop once you are connected. It will soon drop if you don't connect. It has also disconnected my internet. It has connected to 3 wifis and it still doesn't work until I turn it on and off. It is an emergency backup, and must work. I have my phone and wifi on the top of their game. Junk apps

It works more or less the way I expected. My old Galaxy Tab a lags quite a bit and I often get the textnow pop-up. It is absurd to charge people to obtain verification codes. This would be a huge disadvantage to your customers. It's great for marketing but it can lead to people being turned away. The call quality and reception are excellent. It's okay for a free application.

Although it does the job, I know there are much better options. 9/10 times I receive a new message, I see the notification but the message doesn't appear in my message thread. The only solution is to delete all of my data and cache every time a message goes missing. This part is a time-consuming and frustrating task that can make it difficult to maintain a conversation.

Ads are everywhere. They will even cut off your calls just for showing an Ad. Some advertisements redirect to sites by themselves. Continues to ask me to purchase this or that. But I haven't yet received my sim card from last year. Sometimes, calls and texts don't get through. Despite having high-speed internet, constant "poor WiFi connection". Other devices and apps all work perfectly. Although it is nice to be able to make calls or send text messages, the app is not very useful. It's not something I recommend unless it is absolutely necessary.

It was absolutely awful. This service is not recommended to me. Last night, I was messaging TWO of my friends simultaneously. The service I had paid for was no longer available. It was impossible to send or call text messages. Although they were able send me a message, I was unable to reply. This service is garbage. Support chat told me that only one person can have interaction at once. To avoid being blocked from my personal number again, I created a backup texting app.

The best thing about the app is that you can text with your actual voice. This allows you to speak with your real voice, which gives your texter the ability to express emotion. This is the next wave of texting. We need to feel the emotions in our voices.

Works great for me! My area is "black hole", meaning that cell phone service can be very intermittent. TextNow, which is my backup plan, allows me to have reliable internet access. It's also a comfort knowing that I have an out-of-network line in case of emergency. We are grateful for your great assistance and options.

06/17/22 - I know of someone with at least 10 different numbers. What is his secret? It is difficult for me to keep one phone number. Lol 07/23/22 - After using the app for one month, it is sometimes difficult to answer the call. I press the accept button and many times, I still feel the need to pick up the phone. The voice at the other end can sometimes be very weak and it is difficult to hear what they are saying. Sometimes the voice is loud, clear and then becomes fainter or vice versa.

TextNow is a fantastic app. It's great for communicating with people to whom I do not want to reveal my primary number. It's something I have used a few times, though not enough to pay for it right now. If I have the funds, I will continue to pay for it. One suggestion: I would prefer to be able to answer text messages directly from my notification screen, rather than having to go into the app and reply. This update is urgently needed.

While text messages appear as being sent to the recipient's mobile phone, they don't show on my device until several hours later. Sometimes, messages won't reach theirs and calls don't show as notifications on their phones or mine. Because none of this happened, textfree is an even better option.

Horrible!!! !....been experiencing issues every day because of this app. Please explain to me why audio record links are appearing in my text files. When I try to send a message, my keyboard is stuck and letters appear in my text. I've deleted several files from my phone. Just trying to figure out what the point is. I am not happy

This app has been my companion for over 5 years. I have never experienced an issue with it until this month. It was my mistake. I tried to uninstall the app and reinstall the app. It is impossible to make phone calls or receive incoming calls. When they call, I can only see their number but can't answer. My 10-year-old daughter is the only one who gets through. This app has been so helpful that I've lost all my patients.

The app can be so unpredictable and glitchy that it rings twice and then goes to voice. People aren't receiving my calls during this. Clear cache, updating app and all the rest. It's not okay and it causes problems in my daily life. ** EDIT** I appreciate your automatic reply. However, I have already completed all that. If I don't get ACTUAL support, I will delete the app and post a massive negative review across all social media platforms.

It works very well. Although you get unlimited text and phone calls, you will lose your number every other day if you do not send one. To keep your number, you can sign up for as low as $3 per month. This is the best option if you do not have a smartphone. It doesn't work well on a smartphone, but it works great with a WiFi-only tablet. The app has been requesting Bluetooth connectivity since about a month. Why? What does that do? Please elaborate.
