Google Voice for PC

I have been using Google Voice to manage my business. Over the past 4 weeks, I have not experienced any dropped calls and my voice quality is excellent. Both on the web and on the phone, the interface is intuitive and clean. It would be nice to have better integration with Google Calendar. It would be great if Google Voice could recognize that a slot is busy and switch to "Do Not Disturb".

This app is amazing! One problem is that I have been receiving text messages from friends recently saying, "Error: message not delivered successfully", with an anonymous profile photo instead of mine. They didn't try to block me, and they have spoken with me numerous times since it happened. It's an organized and well-functioning app, however.

This app has been my go-to for texting and phone calls for more than 10 years. It's very user-friendly, and I love that it can be used from any of my devices, including Android phones, iPads, Windows computers, and Obitalk. Obitalk functionality is expected to cease at the end the year. It is my hope that I will be able to find a substitute.

You can have an additional phone number that you can use for your own personal devices. It is free! The only problem is that my phone no longer rings when the Google Voice interface informs me that the call came in from Google. Although I have changed the settings so that it will notify me when the call comes in, I am unable to view the number.

This app doesn't allow you to schedule a send. That's the only thing that I don't love about it. This is a feature that almost all other apps offer. It's important to me because I work late and don't like receiving text messages at night. 07/24/22 I can't dial a number with the recent update without it locking up. Google appears to be pushing out updates without any testing, as this isn't the first major error that has been discovered.

My first review has been changed. If you know of any co., please change your first review. The app works, but there is no sound that tells you when your message arrives and the alerts don't go out to other people. If you are looking at a sign, it will tell you.

There are many little things that I find basic. Attention is needed. Sometimes images go through, sometimes not. It is impossible to schedule SMS texts that will go out at a particular time or date. It is impossible to select more than one image for a SMS text. You can only send one image per tume. It does what I want .....very basic, but it does the job.

It still doesn't allow you to change Google Voice numbers. It's not clear why the devs don't want this capability when you have multiple lines. Responding to the below dev reply, I completely misunderstood the point. I stated that I have another number. It's not possible to switch between apps. It is ridiculous that I must go to legacy Google Voice on my PC.

Google Voice is an awesome idea, but it requires some effort to integrate it with your phone. Sending and receiving messages is difficult as well as making and receiving calls overseas. But that's not something that can't be fixed with some videos or a bit more information. Bravo, guys! I don't know what happened to all the punctuation and lines that were added.

Since the previous two updates, the app locks when you begin typing a number. Update: The developers' instructions worked for me, but the problem recurred the next day. It appears the issue is with my contacts. This seems to have caused the app to slow down or lock up completely.

It was useless within minutes. It seems that 3 way calling stopped working recently. They can no longer hear me and must call back. The app also freezes at the 2nd digit when I enter it in the text field. To no avail, I tried to uninstall and reinstall the app.

Google Voice is a fantastic tool for organizing texts and calls. This also transcribes calls into text. Although the User Interface is intuitive and easy to use, there are many settings that can be confusing. It was "only" 3 because the previous caller had the option to press # and skip the greeting in order to leave a message. It's something I need, however the feature was broken several years back and has been "working on" "... for many years.

It's almost worth the cost. I have been using this app for years. The prices are very reasonable and calls are clear. It is still as fast and reliable today as it was years ago. After using the app for many years, I have no reason to abandon it. There are always problems. The bluetooth cannot be activated while I'm in a phone call.

Although Voice can be used as a unified communications app, the features it offers are very limited. Response to developer comment: Voice freezes after a while and locks up on a computer. Missed calls are frequent on both the phone and the computer, even though they have strong internet connections. It takes several taps for the contact properties to be viewed and edited. Texting is not compatible with iOS and group chats.

Voice has been a part of my life for several years. There are two main benefits to Voice: multiple phone rings and spam filtering. The missing feature is the ability to make and receive calls using separate WiFi or mobile data. WiFi is preferred when it's available, however I prefer carrier voice when WiFi doesn't work. Mobile data is not something I want.
