SoCatch App For Windows

SoCatch has been a great tool for me on my android phone. The app worked well until about a year ago, when it was upgraded. The app is now constantly unavailable. To no avail, I tried uninstalling the app and then reinstalling it. It just works again. It also worked on the desktop and ipad without any issues. As of 12/7/2020, it is still not working.

This app was my previous favorite. It used to be known as iwatch. It doesn't allow me to see my cameras when I'm not there. This app only allows you to view them while you are at home. This is a waste of time as I already have monitors at my home and would love to be able to see them while I am away. The app's entire purpose is a waste of time. Update: Although the app worked when I was away, it crashes every time and won't open after the latest update.

It's not great but it isn't terrible. It won't work well if you have poor internet signal or a slow connection. It works well when it does work. It would just be great if the app worked no matter how slow or strong your wireless network is. This app's creators should fix it immediately and make updates. It's a solid, reliable app ..... when it works.

The app is a complete waste of money. This company is not recommended to me. The local representative AJ does not stand behind his product. I've been waiting 1 year for him to help me with viewing issues. This is a joke.

Please help! Could not log into, connection lost Please help TQ, who could not log on to their account again after 15/4/22. TQ Hi, could not log in since 15/4. Please help to resolve the issue. TQ Hi, you have not been able to log in. Please help. TQ

This is a great app that I use on several devices. It's not perfect but it works well. It doesn't have the capability to save video. You can backup the substream at 640x480 resolution, but not the full 1080p recording. The backup option is not very useful. It is also annoying that older Android devices, such as android 5 or below, are not compatible.

Update: I received the "Connection failure" error upon updating to version 1.4.12. Thank you for resolving the issue in version 1.4.16.

Notification/alert no longer works I was able to get motion detection notifications before. However, after at least the last three or four updates, it has stopped working. This system is now completely inoperable. The Dahua app is better if you had the DVR. Fix the problem. 2021/04/28 I haven't reviewed this in almost two years. There are no solutions. You should never again buy SoCatch systems! !

It is by far the worst app that I've ever used. I need it! The app doesn't let us search for anything while we are away on holiday. The app is very slow and unreliable. The app keeps getting worse every time an update is made. This is very frustrating! Please fix it ASAP! !

The Socatch iWatchDVR application for icatch/proview DVRs has been my favorite for many years. This software is good for DVR's and has fewer bugs than the shoddy software often sold by indifferent companies. The software has been reliable for many years. I don't recall it ever crashing on any of my Samsung smartphones. Now the first mistake from andi pratama or iCatch. My Samsung Android phone, version 1.4.5 January 2021, is now available from Google Play Store. There's a setting cog at the top that allows you to select a DVR from the list of DVR connections. The only parameter in the "settings panel" is "Try using Hardware decoding." This defaults to "ticked". This new parameter caused an issue in which the Socatch/iWatchDVR application would crash every time it selected a connection for my DVR from the initial screen. This faulty parameter setting was only discovered by chance. You can try changing the default value for "Try Hardware decoding" to get a quick fix. You can change the default parameter for Hardware decoding to unticked and spare your fans from having to search this solution.

Since it was called iwatchdvr, I have been using the app. This app is great for some time, but then it stops working. It's been 5 days since i've been away from home and it hasn't allowed me to view my business camaras. There are times when it doesn't work for two weeks or more. It didn't seem to work after I did everything to fix the issue. I tried uninstalling and installing, but nothing worked. I have great internet. PLEASE SOLVED THIS PROBLEM SO FAST.

Although the system is excellent, the app is terrible. I don't know why we cannot.

It works great with my DVR. It has storage permissions. Everytime it connects using my DNS address. It allows you to view and save high-quality clips and photos of CCTV live on any mobile device. This is a great tool that I've been using for more than a year.

Never have I been able use my device's notifications. True on oneplus 6, samsung, and pixel. All settings on both my mobile and dvr are working correctly. I am still waiting for developers to explain what's happening. If this is not resolved soon, it will be an expensive waste to purchase these cameras. I need notifications.

This problem is not unique to me. Can't get connected to my phone or tablet since the last update. Check network, user/password or keeps coming back. View cameras from my computer but only when I'm in the property. The App's purpose is not to allow you to see your property outside. PLEASE GET IT FIXED
