BAND - App for all groups for PC

Many irrelevant notifications. There is no way to disable all notifications and stop receiving notifications about new features from the app. This app is used to coordinate our marching bands, so these notifications don't really help anyone. It is often slow to load which can be a problem with a mobile connection that is not stable.

5.2.22.22 Update: Band is not responding to chat messages audibly. I sent a message to helpline and was instructed to take screenshots ..... to show the noise. I don't know what to do. I am still frustrated by the fact that the website functions work on the phone and not the app. It would be great if the name fields in sign ups wouldn't turn grey when there are no slots available. It is almost impossible to read the text when it becomes grey. Another question. Band may be able to track cumulative hours of community service group members. That function is essential! I am looking for an app that does both of these functions, and even paying for one. Although Sign-Up Genius is capable of some of these functions, it's quite expensive at this level. Although I would not mind paying a little, they seem a little steep. This app is great, even though it's free. It is very useful to be able to signup and take polls. This is a great way to communicate with teens who are chronically uncommunicative, particularly with the help of polls and signups. Couple of suggestions: 1. If I had the ability to see which people have read groups chats and not only how many, it would be helpful. 2. A "users guide" is a must, rather than a collection of clips. It is the biggest complaint that I have and it has prevented my senior leaders from properly using it. 3. All functions working on both the website and the app. Thanks!

The app is fine. The cons are that the app keeps doubling posts and loading times can be slow.

It is horrible. It was downloaded for my kids' dance class to view the live streaming. It worked well for the first couple of months, but it has been freezing the last few weeks. Force stopping the app, then logging back in is all that's required to make it work. You can still only see it for a few seconds before it occurs again. The cache was cleared and the app was re-installed. This is not a problem that I'm the only one having. This problem is not unique to me.

It's simple, effective and very useful. It is very easy to handle many tasks from one location. Administrator rights to add/remove roles as necessary, as well as admin access to move images between albums and input album dates.

This app is amazing! This app has been a great way to reach out to my students and their families. It is a great option to sign up, however it would be awesome to be able copy portions of sign ups for use on different days and at different times. Signing up for a membership is time-consuming and tedious. Once you have signed up it is easy and great!

This app is amazing! This app has been a great blessing in covid. It helps me stay connected with my peers. The only problem is that voice messages can be up to five minutes long. Additionally, voice messages can only be listened to once. The voice memo stops playing when I quit the app. I must go back and start it again.

Excellent concept but a lot of lag with postings. This app is great! There is noticeable lag when I comment or post. There is also a noticeable lag when posting videos. My phone and WiFi are not the culprit. I have tried many things to resolve it. The app must be responsible. It makes enjoyment levels significantly lower. You are welcome to reply with any technical suggestions.

This app is amazing! It is great for homeschooling. Each subject has a Band. It is organized, color-coded and neat! It is so simple to share Band posts and create the syllabus. One thing I would change is the polls. We use them for tests and quizzes. If we were able to reopen polls after they have been closed, it would be a nice feature. Perhaps add tabs to the bands. Apart from that, it is still a favorite app of mine! We are grateful!

Although it's fine, I would like to have more views of the calendar, such as weekly, monthly and yearly. This is helpful for those who want to keep track of a wide range events. Another criticism I have is that events lasting a few days are displayed as a bar rather than a dot per day. It would also be helpful to visualize events that span more than one day. I look forward to the update which may contain some of these items!

This app has been very helpful in organizing my parents and band. However, I am having issues with not receiving notifications. Just switched to a new phone and my notifications don't appear until I launch the app in front of me. Even if it's running in the background, the app won't show any updates. We could probably make the app more appealing to parents and students if we had a solution.

Edit: The team quickly fixed any bugs or outages. The app works well and is highly recommended to all who need it. It is very user-friendly and a great app. When I experienced problems with logging into, customer service responded quickly to my request. It was a temporary server problem and was not an individual issue.

Most of the times it works fine. There are not many problems, but I recently experienced a screen that would go black when I opened the app. The app then crashes immediately. It won't cooperate. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app a few times.

This is an amazing and powerful tool. We have been using it for our youth group at church and it has been extremely useful. It's convenient for youth leaders to plan events and announcements. The youth love it because they have a place to meet and share their ideas. Although the calendar looks a bit cluttered and small, it is super.

This is what I use to manage my Girl Scout troop. The interface is very easy to use even for non-techies. It could save drafts of posts automatically, but that's all I wish it would do. Sometimes, I am interrupted and close all the windows. I forget that I am writing a post. This was edited 11/2021 to 4/5 stars. The app has been improved to include the Post Draft Save feature, several months ago. I cannot wait to start using a new feature that will track how often members check in.
