Canvas Student for PC

It is a good platform to teach in an academic setting. It is not the most user-friendly. You need to keep a tab open and make sure you check your messages and assignments often. It's better to learn in a class than to do online learning.

Yesterday's update has made it impossible for me to view beyond the first video in Discussions. I do know that there are at least six more videos there, plus four comments. They all worked fine before this update. It would also be nice to be able to make changes in Discussions. It has been a great experience and Canvas is now accessible from your smartphone.

07/18/22: The app works great, but you cannot access attachments through announcements. If the app goes into dark mode it will not allow you to view them. Also, it won't notify you multiple times when you receive an announcement. This app is what I believe all students want, so they should get rid of mychamberlain. It works great, but could do with some optimization.

Although the Canvas Student app does have its faults, it is generally quite good. The app has many parts that must be reloaded every time you close the app. This can become very frustrating. The calendr page often fails to load. I love the addition of dark mode!

The app works well overall, but there are 2 main problems. First, yuja cannot be used. The video is unreliable and freezes. It also makes it difficult to scroll through without the entire thing taking up several minutes. We also need to be able edit or delete discussions posts. It shouldn't be necessary to log in to my computer, or just my mobile browser, to edit and delete discussion posts. The whole purpose of a mobile application is to allow you to do everything.

You can click on a notification such as "Exam 2 is graded for PSYCH 240", or "This assignment has been added to CHEM 210". This will take you directly into the app, but not that page. If the app was closed, it will take you to the last page or home screen. This is a very annoying issue. Edit: I haven't had any problems in the past, but this problem has been fixed.

The Push Notifications do not seem to work on LG V40. All course activity notifications have been turned on on my phone. Also, I tried uninstalling, reinstalling, and other options (turn off the power saver), suggested by Canvas forums. The notification has not worked so far! Notifications are crucial. BlackBoard was used last semester, and it worked flawlessly. It needs to be fixed. When it is fixed, I will update the review. 5/8/2022 App now works great

It's an excellent way for students to submit work while they are remote. It is slow and doesn't load unless you submit an image. Imagine that I want to send an image to my teacher but it won't load. That's huge. The app doesn't seem to load on either my school iPad or phone. I hope it's fixed quickly. It's an excellent app that allows for easy communication as well as submitting schoolwork.

This app was flawless until the April 11th update. It has logged me out, and I can't log in again. After completing the 2-step verification, an error message appears. The same problem persists even after I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. This app was very convenient for me as it allowed me to work on my assignments and submit them from anywhere. These issues are very disappointing and I hope they will quickly be addressed.

I am constantly kicked off by the app. It will only allow me to upload one photo of my work. This means that I won't be able to submit all of them. My laptop's version of the app doesn't have my grades. This app is generally not a favorite. A frustrated eleventh grader. Update: Still getting kicked for no apparent reason, even in the sign-in screen. The QR code will load, kick me after a while, so I'll give it a try.

It worked flawlessly for me the first week, however it hasn't worked in the last few days. I can view courses and list modules, but it doesn't let me open any of the modules. It loads for one second and then closes. I've uninsaled it several times, and it doesn't seem to work again. It is an excellent app.

It is always the worst time that I freeze for long periods of time. If I simply look at this image, I can see that my OS freezes or, at best, it lags very badly. It isn't a problem with my phone. Although it does have mediocre specs, this shouldn't cause it to freeze for a second app.

The app has become almost impossible to use since recent updates. With 2 factor authentication failing to work often and frequently being required to log back in, it is frustrating that every notification for a course gets duplicated approximately 20 times. This fills up my notification tray, taking up space on my phone for each assignment, grade, or update. This app has become so frustrating that I have stopped using it.

It sends multiple notifications at the same time and floods them. If you view the notification in an area with poor cell coverage, it logs your activity. It uses a buggy, built-in PDF viewer rather than my preferred PDF viewer. Also, it often opens incorrect files. As I did with the previous version of this app, I expect to see even more issues in the future.

This app has failed me multiple times. After I choose my school it will show me a spinning wheel, then a blank screen. It's impossible to get beyond the blank page and log in. It was my desire to be able to log in so that I didn't need to go to the computer every time for school assignments or other stuff. It seems like the only one that works is for iPhones, judging by all of its reviews. My Samsung phone is working.
