Canon Camera Connect for PC

It has great potential. I have one major problem: Images cannot be filtered/sorted by rating. Shooting sports is my primary method of rating images. However, those ratings are not displayed and cannot be used in the app. Instead of taking more photos, I wasted ten minutes searching for "that shot". 2) The option to upload files from my camera, just like FTP. While we don't need to upload every file on our computer, or to any web site, it is important that they can be selected and sent as with FTP.

Cameras don't reconnect properly. This makes the app horrible. The problem was solved by me. Use the wi-fi button to turn on your camera. Open your tablet or phone's wi-fi settings. Select your camera from your wi-fi connection selections. The camera connect app is now open. It's as simple as that. You are most welcome.

You can make it easy to reconnect to your camera, without needing to do everything again. Each time I need to connect my camera, I forget to add it to my bluetooth list. Then, I reset the bluetooth information on my camera and then connect as though it was my first attempt. As I have seen on many forums, this is an issue that's well-known. Canon doesn't seem to care. Canon doesn't care that you already purchased the camera.

It can be set up with the internet. Instead of having to do it all over again, you just need to go to menu.wireless settings. Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connections. Select the camera option in the internet settings of your smartphone. Although it is still very frustrating, the process takes less than ten minutes.

The APP is terrible. The price you pay is what matters. I own a Samsung phone and a Canon T8i. Although the camera can pair with my Android phone, it won't be able to connect to this app. The paired camera is not visible by the APP. You can unpaint the phone, and let the app do the pairing. Nope. Nope. It spins, and there is no connection between your phone and your camera. An APP with the promised features that actually works would be worth $30.

It is impossible to connect with an R5 via Bluetooth. After rebooting, I reinstalled the R5 for several hours. Although my Android phone is able to connect to my computer, my audio player, and my car, it cannot connect to my R5. Two simple items are what I need: You can control camera functions from anywhere without having to touch the camera, even for selfies. When I am away from home, bluetooth allows me to connect with my smartphone and record GPS. Although it's not rocket science, this seems to work for Canon engineers. If I had to, I'd give it zero stars!

The connection process can be very frustrating. The "easy" guide must be used every time your camera is connected to your smartphone. Although it saves some information about your camera and phone, that is not important. You must delete the information and restart the connection. This app still has much to learn from Canon.

Although it is a bit difficult to get connected, I have found that the best way to do so through my 6D Mark 2 camera. Once connected, it's easy to change the ISO, shutter speed and f-stop using my smartphone app. It's easy to access my family photos from this app. However, it would be great if the camera could connect to the cloud so I can view the photos without having to turn on the camera. It's a good tool for an easy app.

Professional photographer with 7 Canon cameras and this program would get zero stars. It is not user-friendly, and in my opinion, almost impossible to use. Problems with connection are common and, if you are lucky enough to be connected at all controls, they are either missing or very limited. If you are unable to connect, the EOS computer utility is a good alternative.

Disappointing. The app can only be used to transfer photos from my Cannon Rebel T7 camera to my Android phone so Google Photos can back them up. That's it. It isn't compatible with my camera to do geotagging. It does not transfer video files to.MOV formats so it is still necessary for me to manually move them from my SD card. Re-connecting on Wi-Fi is also difficult.

This app was purchased solely as a Bluetooth remote controller, and to enable Bulb Mode without having to press the shutter button twice for five minutes. It does exactly what I needed it to. The app won't connect with my Wi-Fi camera (I use EOS M50 Mark 2), but this is not the reason I downloaded it. The main problem is the fact that it forces me to enable Location in order for Bluetooth to work. If I turn off Location five seconds later, it works fine. You don't need my address! Why, Canon?! Good Bluetooth RC.

It works great with other phone models and my old phones, however the app is not compatible with my T-mobile REVVL Android phone. It just keeps redirected to "connecting (wifi network)" when I try to connect. It is so frustrating. I tried setting up the settings hours. It created its own network to use in my wifi settings. This works well on other phones but not here. It's a shame. This is a shame. !

This app is terrible! This app is terrible! It was a complete disappointment and I felt like I had been bamboozled. There have been other apps that work better on flip phones than this one. After a long day of photoshoots, my connection is constantly dropping. I cannot import any photos quickly enough to my smartphone before it drops. Canon can do BETTAH!

Each time an update is made, it's poof, there's no connection Canon can really do more with technology in today's age. I love the camera but it is just too frustrating to have to contend with the disconnections and the search for the previous app versions that were working.

This doesn't work. It is possible to get a connection only once in twenty attempts. If it does, you will have to reset the connection every time to try again. It hasn't paired with me since I first paired it. This app is frustratingly unusable.
